We had a great team of board artists: Jay Oliva (AZNbebop), Eric Canete (EricCanete), Mel Zwyer (ZWYER), Kihyun Ryu (blacksataguni), Rick Morales (RickMorales), Chrissy Delk (ChrissyDelk), Sean Song, Alan Wan, Christopher Berkeley ... I hope I'm not forgetting anyone else.

Character color stylist James Peters.

There's a lot more people but forgive my memory since we made this over a year ago.

If anyone is near the Burbank area, Eric Canete (EricCanete), Jay Oliva (AZNbebop) and I will be at Emerald Knights Comics and Games ( tomorrow (October 22) starting at 1pm for a signing. Here's their address:

Thor: Tales of Asgard arrived in stores last week, finally... This was originally made sometime in 2008 between  Hulk vs Thor and Planet Hulk, before I even started Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. Producer Gary Hartle and I had a lot of hopes for this movie and if you ask us about the story, there was a lot more characterization we had hoped to put into the film and some stuff we would have liked to have edited out. I still think it's a fun film but  this could have been really great.

This movie also has special memories for me on a production side  because this was main designer Phil Bourassa's  (philbourassa) first shot as a Lead Designer. This was the humble beginnings that lead him to design Planet Hulk then Justice League Crisis on Two Earths and now Young Justice. All those years doing alternate design versions of Ben with ice cream on his shirt, Ben covered in mud has finally paid off!

Phil has a more thorough journal… on the many talented people that helped make this come together but I wanted to especially thank Lauren Montgomery (LaurenMontgomery) and Brandon Vietti because they took time out of their insanely busy schedule to help out a buddy with minimal begging.

Hope you guys check it out and enjoy!

It has been a very odd day with mixed emotions. The great comicbook and animation writer, Dwayne McDuffie passed away last weekend on the eve of the release of All-Star Superman. This is the second dvd we had worked on together at WB and we had spent part of the last week promoting and doing press for it. I think for both of us, it was a project we were excited about and felt lucky to be a part of. I remember shaking hands with Dwayne at the LA Paley Center event last Thursday, moments before going out onto the interview floor. He told me he wanted to tell me how much he enjoyed what we did on this project and I thanked him for a marvelous script. At the end of the evening we joked about seeing each other on next project since I seem to always get his scripts. So the news of his passing this morning was a complete shock.

All-Star Superman comes out in stores today. It was a complete pleasure to work on this project with Dwayne and all the many talented people who helped make this come together. It all starts from the script level and Dwayne was one of the best. The industry lost one of the good ones.

First of all I apologize for my lack of updates and entries. I been so overlapped with work I haven't felt like drawing anything outside of work. Hopefully I will get inspired again soon :(

It's been a pretty good month as far as projects I've worked on being released. Earlier this month Planet Hulk was released and today Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths comes out. I was the director on Planet Hulk and co-directed Justice League with Lauren Montgomery. I was fortunate enough to work with my buddy Phil Bourassa who was the character design lead on both projects. His designs translated amazingly. Both Phil and Lauren have done write ups and recognitions to the many talented artists who I am proud to be friends with and made our jobs MUCH easier. Because I am lazy, go check out their journal entries for more info.

Lauren Montgomery…
Phil Bourassa…

Go pick them up!
